Train2Game : What you need to know!

Jan 03, 05:14 AM

This post will explain to you everything you need to know about Train2Game as well as the costs, why this isn’t a scam. Over the last couple of weeks almost every time I went on the forum a thread had started about how Train2Game and how it was a scam.

Further to this; not allot of people knew much about the course when making theses claims and allot of them signed up feeling under pressured. For those that have requested information and come on the forums to ask questions Kudos to you and your able to find information both for Designer andDeveloper course.

“I have already learnt a lot just through the forums and the people I have met on here.” – LaryK

After completing the request information you’ll have a follow up call where you organise a meeting with a “Course Advisors”. Members have had mix reviews of the “Course Advisors”

“I was sold the course, but not really a hard sell. It was made clear it was my decision throughout.” – Gsnipper

Yes, as it is stated, it is your choice to join the course and your able to sign up whenever you like. As the button would suggest “Request Information” you do not have to sign up to Train2Game courses. Both courses are £4960 however if your able to pay it up full your able to get the price down dramatically.

“My sales rep told me this is the course for me and there will be a job waiting for me when the course was completed or in her words, Your guaranteed a job in the games industry when the course is completed, nice huh ?” – 5Run

Yes I was told this, however your not guaranteed a job, but if you have great portfolio of projects and document them well to a interviewer as well as present the things you’ve learnt on this course I’m sure you’ll have no problem getting interviews that may lead to jobs.

You’ll have to ensure that you have £100 if your certain your going to sign up otherwise you don’t need this. A good tip is not to have £100 ready to help give you time to think then phone back your course advisor or request information again.
If you do accept then you’ll be given a rather cool portfolio bag with a couple of booklets that include your initial course book, study guide, plan of the course, two dvds.

It is also true that no one has completed this course so be the first ;) If you feel that you have bad a wrong decision then you have 21 days to cancel.

Once you sign up, you’ll receive details such as your Student ID to enable you to log in to Student World here your able to hand in your TMA Tutor Marked Assignments and have access to Live Internet Training.

I’ve used quotes from the Train2Game forums.
