The Work Experience Database is a database built in Visual Basic that aims to deliver a clean fresh aspect to colleges and schools that run a Work Experience campaign and that allows student and staff to see where the student is at in regards to placement, times and hours that are done. As well as e-mailing both staff and students weekly the hours that the student has completed.
The project started in July 2009 and is aiming to be finished for March 2010 with a full working system and ready to be tested in a school before being distributed throughout schools hopefully in 2011.
At the moment there is only one program of which is Brian Martin and this is why the project is taking almost 9 months to complete. Progress has been made each month and is on target to be completed for March 2010.
Throughout 2010 I’ll be blogging the progress of the Work Experience Database and will be releasing the product on an Alpha release later this year.
Thank you,
Brian
